I am a family and couple psychologist psychotherapist Giedrė Gutautė Klimienė.

I have obtained Psychology Bacalour degree at Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas) and Social Psychology Master's degree at the Romer University (Vilnius). I have deepened my knowledge in psychology in UNED university in Spain as well.

I have obtained my knowledge of Family and Couple psychotherapy in Family and Couple psychotherapy 4 year training (training program is approved by EFTA-TIC) organized by NGO "Institute of Family Relations".

I am certified with EuroPsy. I have EuroPsy Certificate in clinical and health psychology.

My main professional interest in the Family therapy area is the harmony of the family and family welfare. I think that to foster family is one of the most meaningful activities. In my professional experience I have been working with families in general, individually with children, adults and couples.

I am focused on restoring (or creating) the balance of the family, helping the family to find ways to live together harmoniously.

While working with children for me it is very important that each child is heard and understood by the surrounding, and especially by his parents.

In couple counseling I pay great attention to the possibilities in harmonizing the relationships between the couple and, if possible, in helping them to avoid divorce. I have made few studies on couple relationship in the past.

In adult counseling it is most important to me to help a person to understand the nature of his problems, discover his uniqueness and learn how to solve his difficulties himself.

In my work I apply different family therapy methods, as well as humanistic - existential, cognitive - behavioral, psycho-dynamic psychology techniques, while choosing for each client and it's issue the method that fits the best. With children I use art, music, game, fairy tales therapies. My family counseling is based on the systematic approach.

In my work I follow the professional ethics of psychologists and keep confidentiality.

I am constantly looking for the news in psychology field in the ongoing researches and discoveries. I keep up my qualification in various training courses, seminars and professional supervisions.

In addition to psychological counseling, I am organizing various training courses, seminars and group activities for children and adults. I also cooperate with the media, write articles and comments on psychological topics.

I counsel in English, Lithuanian and Russian languages.

I offer counseling through Google Meets.
